Nap Time Turns to Bed Time

Did I mention we only have two days to revise our Genesis submissions? Two days! And today happened to be the day I watch four children while my own are at school. The kids are all sweet and play nicely together–mostly–but I couldn’t wait for nap time so I could work on my entry.

But first I had to have three potty, change one diaper, help two into pull ups, assist with brushing of teeth, set up the pack and play, sing one “night night” song, and tuck four little ones in.

Here’s a picture of me and my love for nap time from around three decades ago. 🙂

I had planned to post during their naps, but my internet satellite provider had a couple hours of hiccups and I lost access. Happily, I had saved the feedback from the judges offline and could still use the time to contemplate any changes I might make in my first two chapters. The judges gave great, specific feedback and it really seemed to go quickly.

So I’ve made the changes I think will strengthen the manuscript. I’ll look them over in the morning and make sure they look good in the light of day. If so, I’ll resubmit hours earlier than the deadline–in case the internet catches another case of the hiccups!

Is that picture an example of “the hurried-er I get the behind-er I get”?

P.S. I was sorta hoping Wendy would be one of the judges for your category. BWAAH-HAH-HAH!!! Okay, just hee-hee-hee. ; )

Congrats on the first round…I will praying for you through the second round, but would love to see you published even more…

I passed through Oregon a few days ago and thought of you when I traveled down 205 to I-5…hmmm!!! Perhaps another trip. This one was a 1-2-3-4-home again trip. Stopped in Eugene Thurs. night, bolted to Weed Friday, back to Eugene Sat. and home Sun. So, passed through the Ptlnd area two times…stopped at Multnomah Falls in the “Oregon Sunshine” and was exhausted when I arrived home.

    God Bless!
