This morning, Mom ran up the stairs demanding, in a VERY excited voice, me to tell her what I had been hiding from her.
“What? What are you talking about?”
“You don’t know? You’ve been nominated for the Christy Award!!” As frugal as we writers are to be with our exclamation points, that’s an exclamation worthy of two.
I. Can. Not. Believe. It.
Here’s a link to the list on TitleTrakk.
Honored and amazed doesn’t even begin to describe how excited I am! For one thing, I’ve read Jennifer Erin Valent’s Fireflies in December and LOVED it. So much that I blogged about it back in January of last year. Which means the next book I’ll be reading is Scared by Tom Davis.
Back in September, at the ACFW conference, keynoter Debbie MacomberΒ urged us to dream big and set huge goals. Of the five goals she asked us to put on an index card, I wrote *blushing* Be Nominated for a Christy. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!
Christina, I’m so HAPPY for you! And to have one of your 5 dreams come true so fast! You deserve this, girl! Man, I’m doing a jig in my chair for you right now!
Congratulations! That’s so exciting. I’ve had the pleasure of reading The Familiar Stranger and it’s so wonderful that it was nominated for such a great reward. Your journey has been an inspiration. Congrats again!
Congratulations, Christy! This is a well-deserved honor.
And it’s quite the company you’re in. I loved “Fireflies”, and “Scared” is a book that leaves a lasting impression.
So, congratulations. Hope you take a moment to celebrate. π
Christina:
Congratulations.
So thrilled for you! Dreams and goals do indeed come true. You deserve all the blessing the Lord has to shower upon you!
Congratulations! I am so happy for you. Seems that good things are happening in your life, and you deserve it.
I am not one iota surprised, but I am a truckfull of elated for you!!! Congratulations, my dear.
Congratulations, Christina!!!!!
(That’s definitely worthy of at least five exclamation points!)
Wonderful news no matter how you hear it! You need to update your photo here, although I still like the long hair. : )
Congratulations!! You are soooooo deserving of this nomination and in my humble opinion of winning it HANDS DOWN!!
Bless you! God is sooo good π
Congratulations, Christina!! I am thrilled for you, and LOVED reading about how you found out you’d been nominated!! I’m sure your precious Mom is thrilled too! (she and I met at ACFW in Denver, and lamented that we live so far apart- – we’d love to meet for coffee, LOL!). I know you’re receiving TONS of congrats but just wanted to add mine too! Hugs from Georgia, Patti Jo Moore π
Love you. Love this. Love it, love it, love it! I am so happy for you I could just fly out there and give you a hug! Wanna pay for my flight? π
Hi Christina –
Congratulations! It’s well deserved. Everyone I’ve spoken to that’s read your book loved it (including me).
Blessings,
Susan π
