Sometimes technology is good.
Sometimes it can be a little dangerous.
On our way to church yesterday, I snagged my two-week-old phone from my purse to turn the sound off. I always keep my phone in the side pocket of my three sectioned purse. The same section which now had a HOLE BURNED through each wall!
(Best picture I could get …)
I was sure the phone had gone into some rogue, radioactive hot flash. Do cell phones go through menopause? I talked to Sprint, who said it would be extremely unusual. I asked them for the cost to replace my purse. Luckily for them, it’s a $15 Walmart purse, instead of a top-of-the-line Coach! So … they offered me $5. Better than nothing, I guess
But then I started wondering … how did the burn get to be so circular. Could it be from my bluetooth?
So I come to you, my blog readers and facebook friends. What do you think? Was it the phone or the piece of technology that’s supposed to make talking on the phone safer?!? Ever heard of anything like this?
I’ve never heard of this! That’s just crazy! My mom used to say, “If you don’t get off that phone, it’ll burn another hole in your ear!”
Close to home! Also, congrats on your wedding!!
Isn’t it weird? And I hold both of them by my now half-baked brain all the time. 😉
Thank you for the congrats. We’re having a great time. Will blog sometime about engagement and wedding, but got so behind, I had to start a fresh or never would!
Congratulations on your wedding.
I have not heard of anything like what happened to your purse. It makes me want to be more careful. I’ve been carrying my digital camera around in my purse as well as my phone.
