Outside Harvest House Publishers in Eugene, Friday afternoon
A momentous occasion as a few members of the Redeemed Writers gather to tour one of the top five Christian publishers … Kristen Johnson, Sherrie Ashcraft, Miriam Cheney, et moi
(The tail of the Prius is the perfect height for timer photography!)
We always called the mixing-up of a group, usually done at a stop sign, the “Chinese fire drill” … anyone know of a PC term?
Scanning the recent releases, which lined the lobby
Our tour guide extraordinaire, Kim Moore, explaining the history of the company

Very few publishers have warehouse space connected to their building. Harvest House, obviously, does.
Awed by the hugeness!
Kickin’ it with Kim in her office
Using the timer, so didn’t realize the “lean” wasn’t necessary to fit in the frame. 🙂
Without the “lean”–on our way to dinner
If you’re ever in Eugene around dinnertime and aren’t a vegetarian, you must try The Hole in the Wall barbecue joint. Yummy!
Mom and me outside Northwest Christian University the next day. We look so happy because our workshop went wonderfully–lots of discussion, lively laughter (which is a rarity in the afternoon hours), and (hopefully) good content.
Sounds awesome! *sigh* I’m dreaming! Just got one step closer, though! Rachelle Gardner gave me THE call yesterday and agreed to represent me! I blogged about it today!
Jody, that is beyond exciting!!! I’m popping right over to your blog to be one of the hundreds of congratulatory commenters. 🙂
You both look wonderful! Thanks for the inside view of the publisher.
Blessings,
Susan
Nice pic of our butts! Thanks A LOT!! And in a Christian publishing house, no less. (gasp!)
Leave it to you, Miriam, to say the B-U-T-T word on my blog! 😉
Hey, they’re cute, aren’t they?
