Some of you may have thought I died, it’s been so long since I’ve blogged. I announce my contract and then go missing for a week? Maybe it’s a publicity stunt. Maybe not.
The first two days I spent trying to keep up with the flood of congratulatory emails bombarding my inbox. I know, not really a problem to whine about, is it? The next day I sat down to blog and … my laptop would not connect to the internet. We tried all the old tricks–I’ve had this problem off and on for the last few months–but nothing worked. If I didn’t have any kids, or husband, or household duties, I could have worked off the desktop, which had internet. Unfortunately, I’m was unable to be tethered to any one place for long enough to be worth beans this last week.
On Thursday my friend from New Zealand/ Ireland/ Germany came to stay. Grace Bridges and I got to know each other online and had never met before. She should have been so scared! We hung out for a few days, playing board games, chatting, drop-kicking my useless laptop, …
She even took a video of Mom and me one night. Be forewarned, we weren’t working off a script!

Also, we condensed a section of our Dreams speech into a blog post for Jennifer AlLee, whose topic of the year is … dreams. 🙂
Here’s a link to that post:

Leave a comment, if you please. We’d love to hear what some of your dreams are!
My internet is up and running again. I had to take back everything I said about the laptop/internet provider because it turned out to be a router problem. So, even though I haven’t been here as I had planned to be, Mom and I have been getting around. And I mean that in the best way possible.
😉
Hi again, Christina, it’s me, from Shoutlife. See, people do follow the links in your newsletter/website.
For a laugh (or a good time–not seriously, just kidding), check out the link on your mom’s blog post from yesterday. Oops. Something went vewy, vewy wong.
When you stop snickering (and being horrified), maybe you or your mom will know how to fix that. I’m sure Jennifer will appreciate it, too.
Christina, this whole incident has me giggling again. See, until I looked back at your blog, I didn’t put the “getting around” with the rest of it. The perils of idiomatic slang! (Which I always use heavily, along with cliches, when writing informally.)
Wonder how that link became something R-rated when it was supposed to go to Jennifer’s blog?
Loved the video and new name of Undiscovered. I am so excited for you.
